Catholic Schools Week 2021

Here is the schedule of activities happening for our 2021 Catholic Schools Week.

We will need one 4×6 family picture for our Cross is Boss bulletin board. Please send this into school with your oldest child by January 27th.

Monday February 1st – Community Day
Students may wear Holy Cross spirit wear today.
Our service project this year will be to stock the parish pantry with needed items for our local community. Students will begin to bring their assigned items on this day. The class that brings in the most items by Friday will win a dress down/popcorn movie party.  Let the competition begin!

Parish pantry grade lists of items to bring in:

PK3 and PK4 – Paper goods (napkins, plates, paper towels)
Kindergarten – Pasta
1st Grade – Peanut Butter
2nd Grade – Jelly
3rd Grade – Hand Soap
4th Grade – Spaghetti sauce (plastic jars ONLY)
5th Grade – Tuna Fish
6th Grade – Bar Soap
7th Grade – Toothpaste
8th Grade – Children’s Snacks (goldfish, fruit snacks, granola bars, etc)

Tuesday February 2nd – Special Persons Day
We are saddened that we won’t be able to bring in our students’ special people this year, but we still want to recognize them. We will have students write a letter or do a craft for a special person/grandparent in their life. There is a form to fill out to let your child’s teacher know who the special person is.  Please send this in by January 29th.

This day is also National Giving Day. More information to come on that.

Wednesday February 3rd
We will celebrate a virtual mass with Father Wilson. Today will be a virtual fitness day led by the 8th grade student council members.  Students should wear gym uniforms. There will also be a special Chick-Fil-A hot lunch. Chick-Fil-A orders are due by January 28th – No Exceptions

Thursday February 4th – Student Appreciation Day/Service Day
Students will do a craft, write a letter, make a card for a resident at Little Flower Manor Nursing Home.
Teachers and studens will compete in two trivia games, one about the teachers and one about the 8th grade students.
There will be a dress down day and they will get served an individualized treat in the afternoon.

Friday February 5th – Teacher Appreciation Day
Teachers would love a special note or picture from your child. Please send it in on this day.

Thank you in advance for making Catholic Schools Week a success!
